A stylized composition that combines the history and present days of the City. Against the background of a smooth outline of the Cossack profile is the Church of St. Nicholas. To the left of which is a sculpture of a stone keeper of history. To the right of the coin is a historic building of the City. Stylized modern houses are the background of the whole composition. Beneath is the horizontal inscription ЗАПОРІЖЖЯ (Zaporizhzhia) under which is the dam of Dnieper HPS (Hydroelectric Power Station).
